Holiday Thank You

Hello Everyone, Terre with a holiday thank you card created using Want2Scrap© Chipboard Embellishments Style A, 72 Count White Pearls and Swirls Finesse Le Creme Pearls.
I distressed the edges of the card to give it that old world look and feel, especially since Santa is an Old World Santa.
On the Want2Scrap© Chipboard Embellishments Style A piece, I used white acrylic paint and my finger to paint it to also give it a distressed look.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and now is the time to start your handmade thank yous. I hope you enjoyed my thank you card. Crafty Smiles,

Shabby Victorian Card

Hello Want2Scrap friends, Lovita Here!
Today I am sharing with you how I created this beautiful
Victorian inspired greeting card.

I first cut and folded a 6" x 5" card from 12" x 12" craft card stock by ColorBok. I distressed the edges of the card using Color Box Mixd Media Inx - Leather. I tore and distressed the edges of designer papers, from two of The Paper Studio's collections - Theodosia Square and Tattered & Worn, then layered them.

Want2Scrap's Victorian Boot Small Chipboard Embellishment is painted black using Americana craft paint. The beauty of the Victorian Boot is further enhanced with gathered lace and trims, a sweet dark pink rose, and Want2Scrap Sleek Strips 12" Pearls - LeCreme. It is attached using dimensionals. Lastly, Want2Scrap's Swirls Finesse - LeCreme Pearls and Bulk Bling Pearls - LeCreme were added as a beautiful accent.

HAPPY CRAFTING!

Festive Christmas Tree Card

Candy here and today I am sharing my Festive Christmas Tree Card featuring the Pine Tree Chipboard along with the Multi Color Bling Rhinestones.  The design paper on this 6" x 6" card is from Echo Park. I die cut the design paper using the Spellbinders Ovals LG and the Spellbinders Oval Majesty, adhering the die cut oval to the Oval Majesty using Zip Dry Glue.

First, I painted the Pine Tree Chipboard with a thin coat of Gesso. Next I inked the green part of the tree with Pearlescent Ivy Tsukineko Brilliance Pigment Ink, then added Sparkle 'N Sprinkle Cosmic Semi-Transparent Embossing Powder in Bull Frog, tapped off the excess and heat set.  For the tree trunk I used Tsukineko Brilliance Pigment Ink in Galaxy Gold, then added Sparkle 'N Sprinkle Opaque Embossing Powder in Brown, tapped off the excess and heat set.  I adhered the Multi Color Bling Rhinestones on the Christmas Tree and then adhered it to the die cut using Pop Dot Adhesive Double Sided Glue Dots.

I tied some green twine to the side of the card and added the Christmas Tree Swirls Charms in Antique Silver. Finally, I adhered a Red Rhinestone and a Dark Green Rhinestone to the upper right hand corner of the card front.

Merry Christmas!

Chipboard Ornament Set

Candy here and today I am sharing my Chipboard Ornament Set featuring the Ornaments Small Round 2" 4 Pack of Chipboard Shapes.  I decorated the ornaments using design paper from the Echo Park's The Story of Christmas 6" x 6" Paper Pad. The Spellbinders Classic Circles SM Die coordinates perfectly with these ornaments, making it really quick to cut out the design paper to cover these ornaments.

First, I painted the Small Round Chipboard Ornaments with a thin coat of Gesso.  Then on the top of each ornament I inked each with Tsukineko Brilliance Pigment Ink in Galaxy Gold, added Wow Embossing Powder/Glitter in NuBean Sparkle, tapped off the excess and heat set it each one.  Using a sponge dauber I inked the edges of two of the Chipboard Ornaments with Northern Pine Memento Ink and inked the other two Chipboard Ornaments with Desert Sand Memento Ink. I then adhered the darker design paper that had been die cut with the coordinating Spellbinder Circles SM using Zip Dry Glue to the Chipboard Ornaments that had been inked with the Northern Pine Ink and adhered the lighter design paper die cuts to the ornaments that had been inked with the Desert Sand Ink.  After the design paper had been adhered I sponged the edge of each ornament with the coordinating inks, to add a finished look to each ornament.

I decorated these ornaments using Red Pearls Baby Bling, the Red Sleek Strips 6" Rhinestones and the Dark Green Sleek Strips 6" Rhinestones, cutting the Sleek Strips apart as needed.

I decorated these ornaments using LeCreme Pearls Baby Bling and the small rhinestones from the 72 Count - Amber Rhinestones set.  Finally, I added White Seam Binding creating a loop to hang each ornament.

This project would be a great craft project for a 4-H Club, a Girl Scout Troop or a ladies group.  Have a great day!

Frosted Cookie Ornament

Hello Everyone, Terre here with another handmade ornament for my little girl's tree. This one is made using Want2Scrap© 72 Count Red Rhinestones and Baby Bling Silver Rhinestones.
This ornament is one of my favorites, I had so much fun die cutting the Christmas tree and making it look like a frosted sugar cookie, it brought back memories of baking cookies with my mom and frosting them and don't forget the sprinkles. I hope that this year you too have created a few of your own memories with your kids and family members, cherish those times, when they look back and think of a special memory with you, it will make them smile and remember that moment.

Happy holiday's and Merry Christmas. Crafty Smiles,

Snowflakes Holiday Tag

Candy here and today I am sharing my Snowflakes Holiday Card featuring the Snowflakes #2 Chipboard Embellishment and the Snowflakes #3 Chipboard Embellishment.  I decorated this 3 1/4" x 6 1/4" Tag using design paper from Echo Park.

First, I painted the Snowflakes #2 Chipboard Embellishment and the Snowflakes #3 Chipboard Embellishment with a thin coat of Gesso.  Then for the gold snowflake I inked it with Tsukineko Brilliance Pigment Ink in Galaxy Gold, added Wow Embossing Powder/Glitter in NuBean Sparkle, tapped off the excess and heat set it.  For the white snowflake I inked it with Tsukineko Brilliance Pigment Ink in Platinum Planet, added Ranger Embossing Powder in Snowflake Tinsel, tapped off the excess and heat set it.  I then added a LeCreme Pearl to the gold snowflake and several Iridescent Rhinestones to the white snowflake.  I adhered the snowflakes to the tag using Pop Dot Adhesive Double Sided Glue Dots, cutting them to fit as needed, and layering them as needed to create the desired height.

I added Sleek Strips 6" Pearls in LeCreme to the top and bottom of the tag.  Next I added the cream seam binding to the tag and added Decorative Bells in Gold to the end of each ribbon.

Happy Holidays!

Postal Friendly Christmas Card

Hello Want2Scrap friends, Lovita Redd here! I want to share with you how I created a bulk-free dimensional christmas card.

The craft colored card base is a 6" x 5" top fold constructed from ColorBox cardstock. The edges were distressed using Color Box Mixd Media Inx - Leather.

Next I cut a 5" x 4" and 4 1/2" x 3 1/2" piece of designer paper from The Paper Studio and tore the edges. The 5" x 4" paper was secured using Want2Scrap 1/4" score tape. Dimensional foam tape was used to raise the 4 1/2" x 3 1/2" paper.

I painted a Want2Scrap chipboard Christmas tree embellishment, glued green designer paper to one side, distressed the edges, and secured it to the card using dimensional foam tape. I painted a tiny wooden star white, and after drying covered it with a layer of glitter glue for a little sparkle and shine.

I accented one corner with a Want2Scrap bulk pearl. Lastly, for a little whimsy, I added a Want2Scrap Swirl Finesse - White Pearl to the left side.

Holiday Ornament Want2Scrap Style

Hello Everyone and Merry Christmas, Terre Fry here with a quick and easy way to create your own holiday ornament using your child's photo or even a beloved pets photo.

First I punched a hole in the Nestaboard© Labels One, then I used a Spellbinders Labels One die template to die cut a piece of patterned paper and the photo of my little girl, Leahandra. This was her first Christmas and I created this ornament for her so when she is older and on her own she will always have a piece of my heart because I created this special ornament for her. To embellish this handmade ornament, I placed Baby Bling Silver Rhinestones around the die cut pattern paper. If you would like to create your very own handmade ornament, visit Want2Scrap© to see all the amazing products you will need to create your own ornament.

I hope you have enjoyed my handmade treasure and I look forward to seeing what you all create.

Pokadot Christmas Card

Hello Want2Scrap friends, Lovita Redd here!
I was sitting up late one night, after a very trying day, and decided to try and relax myself with a little crafting. I figured it's time to get started on my Holiday cards. This is the first of a few Christmas themed cards created using Want2Scrap's Chipboard Quote, Paper Flower, Bulk Pearls and Swirl Finesse.

I made a 6" x 5" base card from 12" x 12" craft Cardstock - by ColorBok. The edges are darkened with Color Box Mix'd Media Inx - Leather. I cut 4" x 5" and 3 1/2" x 4 1/2" pieces of designer papers by The Paper Studio. The edges of these papers were distressed using the edge of my scissors. Small tears were added for added dimension. The papers were adhered using Want2Scrap's 1/4" Double sided premium tape.

A Merry Christmas - Chipboard Quote in the center front with a rhinestone to dot the "I" in Christmas. Small pieces of lace were glued beneath torn areas with a pearl secured on top of each. A Want2Scrap White 1" Paper Flower adorns one corner accented by mini red roses. Bling was added with the addition of the self adhesive Swirl Finesse - Silver Rhinestones and a red rose.

HAPPY CRAFTING!

Just One Tent Away...with a Want2Scrap Overlay

Hello Want2Scrap fans - it is Linda here today - thank you for stopping by! I am sharing a layout created using one of Want2Scraps 12x12 Overlays! I have to be honest and say, it was the title that drew me to this overlay - I think most of us have felt like this at times - or is that just me!?! LOL!

I have started by adhering my photos behind the overlay using E-Z Permanent Adhesive Runner and patterned paper behind the sentiment.

I have added stickers to create banners and personalised using alphabet stickers to co-ordinate with the theme of the layout.  Enamel Dots 8MM Stone size - Turquoise have been randomly added onto the layout to make it pop.  Just a few simple additions and the layout is complete - it really is that easy!

I have added Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Gold Photo Corners that have been lightly sanded and sponged using Teal Zeal ink and a sponge dauber, to give the appearance of chevrons.

Good afternoon Blogging Friends!

I'm so excited!!!  Christmas is right around the corner and I just can't wait!  Rather than starting to buy gifts, I've been getting decorating supplies.  I become a child this time of year; full of excitement and giggles.

For this months mini-project, I followed the current trend of using burlap, lace, pearls, and rhinestones to create a Christmas ornament. You can create these ornaments in no time at all.  You can give as a gift, use as a gift tag, or hang on the tree.  The possibilities are endless!  Let's get started!

 1.  Lay the chipboard bird on the burlap and trace the shape.  Repeat for the back of the chipboard.

(lay a 6" long ribbon in-between the layers of burlap to use as an ornament or to hang)
 2.  Cut and adhere with Zip Dry. Same with the wing.
 3.  Repeat this with the lace.
 4.  Adhere jute around the edge of the wing and adhere the wing on top of the lace.

 6.  Add the bling!

Want2Scrap - Live by Inspiring Others

Hello Want2Scrap friends, it is Linda here from 'The Land Down Under' -  thank you for stopping by. Today I am sharing another page from my ART Journal, using Want2Scrap products.  Journaling is something that is personal and open to your own interpretation - but I am loving the journey and often work on a page late t night when the house is quiet - it helps me unwind - and that has to be good - doesn't it!? Wink:Wink!

I began by randomly stamping the paper using Seth Apter Window 3 Stamp and Imagine Memento Ink in Espresso truffle - this was the base for  my hand made patterned paper.  Next I have sponged the stamped paper using random inks.  I used the Seth Apter Pathways Etched Die as a stencil, using Imagine Creative Medium and a spatula.  One this had dried I added some colour to the texture using Chameleon Art Pens and outlined using White Gel Pen. Stenciling is such a a great effect and very quick and easy - so many mediums can be used - ink, paint, gesso just to name a few.

I adhered strips of hand made patterned paper I created and have used a couple of times on this page, along with some yellow braid.  Want2Scrap Baby Bling - Black Rhinestones - 100 Count - Self Adhesive has been adhered along the yellow braid.

The sentiment from the  Inspiring Others Stamps Bible Journaling by Joanne Fink has been stamped using Imagine Memento Ink in Rhubarb Stalk.  The Die D-Lites Here Kitty Etched Dies has been cut using black patterned paper and adhered to the right of the sentiment using Beacon Adhesive liquid glue.

The small wings from the Angel Wings - Silhouettes have been glued to the back of the cat, along with a red heart from the Bling Hearts - Pink and Red Rhinestones.

The black Shapeabilities Inspire Birds On A Wire has been glued across the top of the stenciling using  Beacon Adhesive liquid glue and a sticker sentiment added above the Birds.  I have used the White Gel Pen to define some of the stamping and to add some random splotches.

Other:
Spellbinders:SBS-024 Seth Apter Window 3 Stamps; SBS-142 Inspiring Others Stamps Bible Journaling by Joanne Fink;   S2-242 Die D-Lites Here Kitty Etched Dies; IN-024 Shapeabilities Inspire Birds On A Wire Etched Dies,  S3-234 Seth Apter Pathways Etched Dies;  Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L: E-Z Dots Permanent Refillable Dispenser, 3D Foam Squares; Beacon Adhesive: Zip Dry Liquid Glue;   Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, Rhubarb Stalk; Espresso Truffle, Dendelion, Bamboo Leaves; Creative Meduim; Chameleon Pens; Yellow Braid, Black Patterned Paper;assorted paper scraps; White Gel Pen

Thanks so much for stopping by and the lovely comments you leave - they are appreciated.  I hope you are inspired to get your Want2Scrap on!!  I will be sharing more pages as I go along and hope you will be inspired!

God's Blessing on Earth Layout

Hello Want2Scrap friends, it is Linda here on the Blog and I am excited to be sharing another layout with you today - created using one of the 12x12 Overlays - I cannot emphasise enough how easy they make scrapbooking - definitely a great way to find your starting place!

My layout today is inspired by one of the things my beautiful Nana wanted me to remember in life...

'Family is God's blessing on earth - Isla Labone

I have used various Alpha Stickers to create my sentiment around the title of the overlay.  Glitter Washi Tape - Toffee has been added under the stickers and a little more sentiment has been added.

Below the first row of photos (of my 'adult children) I have added a strip of torn patterned paper and embellished it using Swirls Finesse - White Pearls - 2 Pack - Self Adhesive

The beautiful butterflies are from Kaisercraft and has been fussy cut/hand cut using scissors, the colours highlighted using Chameleon Art Pens and liquid glitter lightly added.  the wings have been popped up using 3D Foam Squares.

Gimp Loop Braid 1" Ivory lace has been adhered along the base of the photos using strong tape and  250 Count white Pearls have been adhered along the lace.  White paint has also been randomly added to the lace.

Other:
Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L: E-Z Dots Permanent Refillable Dispenser, 3D Foam Squares; Beacon Adhesive: Zip Dry Liquid Glue;  Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, White Paint; Kindy Glitz/ Liquid Glitter; Kaisercraft paper (for butterflies) Chameleon Pens; White Gel Pen; Alpha Stickers; Sentiment Sticker

Thanks so much for stopping by and the lovely comments you leave - they are appreciated.  I hope you are inspired to check out the overlays and use them to get your layouts happening!
