Coffee Before Talkie

Hello Want2Scrap fans - it is Linda here, sharing a card using one of the fabulous sets from  Sparkle and Sprinkle who have been so very generous to the Design Team.  Now it has to be said that anything COFFEE has my attention straight away - I just had to have the Espresso Yourself stamp set - and how about that sentiment - LOL - love it!

The base and base layer have been cut/embossed using Spellbinders S5-172 A2 Curved Matting Basics B Creator.  The Sparkle and Sprinkle image has been coloured using Imagine Crafts 'featuring' Tsukineko Memento Markers and cut out by hand/fussy cut.

The Seth Apter Coffee Rings Etched Dies work perfectly with this image and have been cut using brown cardstock.  They have been adhered to the pattered paper using liquid glue.  A little bit of sponging has been added randomly around the coffee rings, accentuating the beautiful Baby Bling Rhinestones Turquoise - 100 Count - 2.5mm.  The Coffee Cup has been popped up on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares

and the sentiment - I believe it speaks for itself!! Wink:wnk

Bling On the Canvas!

Susie here today sharing another mixed media canvas featuring Want2Scrap bling!
I started my canvas with an Ultramarine Blue Color Burst watercolor background.  The cute little umbrella image is from the Sparkle N Sprinkle Splish Splash stamp set.  I heat embossed the image with Black Opaque Embossing Powder.
Next I wanted to try something a little different.  I used clear embossing ink and stamped the "Splish Splash" sentiment all over the canvas.  I sprinkled Waterscape Semi-Transparent glitter on the canvas and was pleased to find that it stuck to the canvas!
I wish I could tell you my experiment was a success...but I can't.  I knew I needed to secure the glitter somehow.  First I tried Workable Fixative.  It kept the glitter from falling off but was not a permanent solution as you could brush the glitter off.  Next I tried Acrylic Sealer Spray and it did not work either.  I ended up brushing off as much glitter as I could and then re-stamping and heat embossing with the Platinum Embossing Powder. I heat embossed the sentiment across the bottom of the canvas in Black Opaque Embossing Powder and then I reached for my bling!

Want2Scrap Teardrop Bling looks so cute sprinkled all over this canvas like raindrops!

Want2Scrap's Rainbow of Bling!

Hello!  Susie hosting the blog today and I am sharing a mixed media canvas that features a rainbow of Want2Scrap bling!

I started by creating a water color pallet with 5 bright shades of Color Bursts.

I free handed a simple arch shape from the upper right of the canvas to the lower left.  I started at the bottom with purple, letting each color dry before I added the next band.

The Design Team recently had an opportunity to choose some products from Sparkle N Sprinkle, one of our Cross Promotional Partners.  I fell in love with the silhouetted images and sentiments on the Splish Splash Rubber Stamp set!  I stamped and heat embossed one of the images and a sentiment with Black Opaque Embossing Powder.

I collected coordinating colors of bling for each color band of the rainbow.  I didn't actually have yellow in my stash, so I substituted with the Irridescent Rhinestones (which I think are my favorite anyway!)  I chose the 3mm size from each of the packages.  The fact that the bling is self-adhesive made it really easy to accent a portion of each color band with approximately 10 gems!

Bling Congratulations Card

Hi it is Linda back with a little 'change of pace' for me!  I do love whimsical cards and love the way that Want2Scrap bling is so versatile, making a statement on each and every project using it.

I have created a card using Want2Scrap Bling Rhinestones in Turquoise as 'faux (but oh so sparkly) droplets against a sponged background created using Imagine Crafts 'Featuring' Tsukineko Radiant Neon Inks. I will let you in on a little secret - my background came together unexpectedly.  I was 'daubing my daubers' on white card stock and loved the effect it had, so just keep building one layer after another - finishing with some white circles - love the effect!!

The Bird Crazy image has been coloured using Radiant Neons and a Sponge Dauber - I love to colour this way - so quick and amazing details once you get used to it.

The sentiment is from the Spellbinders Phrase Set One and has been adhered using liquid glue.  The Want2Scrap Bling Rhinestones in Turquoise
have been randomly added to the background to create the 'drip' effect - personally - I think bling works so well on this style -  what do you think?

Peace Out Man with Want2Scrap

Hello Want2Scrap fans - it is Linda here, sharing a card using Want2Scrap bling - and one of the very cool stamp sets from Sparkle N Sprinkle - VW BUs stamp set.  I love combies and could not resist this 'baby'.

I have coloured the image using Imagine Crafts featuring Tsukineko Momento Markers, along with a Silver Gel Pen to add some shimmer to the metallic areas.

I have added some of the Baby Bling Rhinestones - Silver - 100 Count - 2.5mm randomly around the image to give the impression of the shimmer the ocean can have,  Random postmarks have been added using Black Ink.  The peace sign has been coloured using a Memento Marker and popped up onto a flower from my stash using liquid glue.   This is then attached to the top corner of the card using liquid glue.

For my card base and patterned layers I have used the Spellbinders 5x7 Modern Stationery Card Creator.  For the top white layer the Die has been used as a stencil, sponging inside the Die using Summer Sky Ink and a Sponge Dauber.

Charm-ing Want2Scrap Mini Canvas

Susie here today to share a mini canvas featuring a cute charm from Want2Scrap!  Did you know that Want2Scrap has almost 100 different charms to choose from in a wide variety of themes?  Lately I have been indulging my interest in mixed media and I found one perfect for this project!

The Design Team was really lucky to receive some products from Sparkle N Sprinkle, one of our Cross Promotional Partners.  They have a huge range of glitters, embossing powders, adhesives and stamps - among other things!  I used the Puddles Stamp Set for this canvas.  I stamped and embossed one of the sentiments from the set using Black Opaque Embossing Powder.  I initially stamped the figure with the umbrella using Platinum Embossing Powder.
I quickly decided I wanted a more traditional silhouette, so I re-inked the stamp and stamped on top of the first image.  My stamp block is transparent so it was really easy to line it up. This time I applied the Black Opaque Embossing Powder and used my heat gun.  Perfect!

I painted a puddle across the bottom right corner of the canvas with Ultramarine Blue Color Burst water colors, then splattered "raindrops" all over.  To attach the charm, I used a few pieces of  1/8" Tear-ific Double Sided Tape.

The final detail is a 3mm Turquoise Rhinestone which covers the hole in the charm perfectly!

Be sure to check out all the charms available on the Want2Scrap website!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play today! Susie
