I thought that since today is Halloween it would be a great time to share this layout with you. This is a picture of my youngest son and myself at his Cub Scout Halloween party a few weeks ago. All of the boys dressed up and some of the parents did too. Check out the bling on my face--it's Finesse Swirls Black Rhinestones and 72 Count Purple Rhinestones! Now that is thinking outside the box and taking it off the page LOL!

To start I used Style D Chipboard Embellishments, inked them with Tuxedo Black and then added 72 Count Lavender Rhinestones from Want2Scrap™and Pralines & Cream Fairy Dust Glitter from Clearsnap.

Next I created several Halloween die cuts using S4-279 Graveyard Scenes and Shapes, S4-280 Halloween Scenes and Shapes, S4-282 Witches Brew, S4-277 Nested Bats die templates from Spellbinders™. Then I lightly inked them with Brilliance Starlite Silver to make the embossing pop.

I created a border along the bottom of the layout with the Halloween die cuts.

I added Ranger Orange Peel Stickles to the window in the haunted house and Flower Soft Sage for the grass.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you all have a Happy, Fun & Safe Halloween!!

    Hugs,

    Good morning!!!

Karen Taylor here today to share an altered book with lots Wan2Scrap™ goodness. I made this for my daughter, who like most mom's and daughters we have had our ups and downs in our relationship. Mother and daughter relationships are complex because the daughter looks to her mother as a role model of what a woman is. As she grows up and sees other woman who live their lives differently, she chooses between imitating her mother or other significant influences in her life. As an adolescent she may come to look down on her mother and think that other woman are much better.
Of course she is not a fully grown woman so she does not understand the challenges and choices that her mother faces. It is only when she herself becomes a woman that she can fully appreciate her mother.
But through it all one thing has remains strong and that is LOVE. I want my daughter to have lots of memories in the future and remember how important it is to share those memories with those we love.
This is a fairly large book so I can only share some. I hope you enjoy.
Memory Altered Book: LOVE LOVE LOVE

Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose.

Memory... is the diary that we all carry about with us. ~Oscar Wilde

What we remember from childhood we remember forever - permanent ghosts, stamped, inked, imprinted, eternally seen. ~Cynthia Ozick

    All Grown Up

    © Wilda Parker

You are all grown up as anyone can see.
A beautiful lady standing in front of me.
Spreading your wings and leaving the nest,
to see what’s out there for you at best.
    Learning what works for you,
    depends mostly upon yourself.
Trust in what you feel is right.
    Always remember throughout your life,
I'll be here whenever you need it.
    You're still my little girl,
even though you're an adult now.
You always be young to me
All grown up in others eyes.
Still young as ever to me and will always be loved.

mother's love for her child is like
nothing else in the world. It knows no
law, no pity, it dares all things and crushes
down remorselessly all that stands in its path.

    Fast & Fun Halloween Decor!

    30 Minutes to HALLOWEEN fabulousness,
    with Want2Scrap™ bling!

All you need is a window...

Some clear Contact paper, Want2Scrap™ Nestabling™,
and assorted baby and self adhesive bling pieces...

Start by drawing or tracing some ghost shapes onto contact paper.

{In case you don't even want to THINK about drawing, please use
these shapes I created, by saving them to your desk top. Simply
    size in your favorite graphic application, print and trace!}

Cut out ghost shapes with an x-acto knife or scissors of choice.
Remove mouth shape, but do not remove eyes.

Arrange ghost shapes on window. Clear contact paper is forgiving
    and fun in it's application onto glass. {So MUCH possibility!}

Create ghostly EYES using Self Adhesive Black Pearls in any
one of three sizes that come in the 72 count sheet!

Different sizes and width placement really bring out personality!

Using a scrap of Contact paper, color paper with black solvent based ink.

With coordinating Spellbinders circle dies, cut circle shapes
from Contact paper. Face ink side towards a scratch piece of
paper to blot ink... Then run through a Grand Calibur™ or
die cut machine of your choosing.

Place circle shape on glass once you determine the "spideriest" placement.

Draw spider legs with a black, dry-erase marker, then embellish
with Black Nestabling™ Heart Circles, Self Adhesive Red Rhinestones
and black, baby-bling to create eyes, mouth, etc.

    By cutting thin strips of Contact paper, I created a fun {and easy!}
spider web, with little MATH... {hee hee} and a LOT of spidey-sense!

Check out THIS lil' guy, dangling from these great gel cling letters!

I don't know about you, but it's getting a lil' bit SPOOKY in here!

Hope you are enjoying this VERY bling-a-licious time of year!

... Remember to have plenty of TREATS to go with the tricks...
and a LOT of bling .... to make your crafty spooky heart SING! Enjoy!
